Corrugated Cardboard

Apex Equipment offers a wide range of baler options for maximizing value and efficiency.  For one bale per day or less, a vertical baler is the most cost effective solution.  We offer numerous models to fit almost any facility.  The most popular size is a model that produces a a standard "mill size" bale of 60" x 30" x 48" weighing 800 to 1,000 lbs.  This size will provide you a premium price for your baled material.

For 2 to 10 bales per day, a horizontal closed door baler is the most popular choice.  This type of baler allows for automated feeding and will reduce labor by over 75%, compared to a vertical baler.

For volumes approaching 10 bales per day or more, a single ram auto tie baler is typically the best choice.  This type of baler provides full automation, with automatic tying of bales.

Plastic

Apex Equipment offers numerous options for baling plastics.  Generally speaking, the high memory nature of plastics makes it more difficult to bale than corrugated cardboard.  Balers with more power and longer cylinder strokes are tyically better suited to baling plastics.  For lower volumes of less than two bales per day, special vertical balers such as the PTR-3400HD-65 are recommended.  This baler has a 65" stroke main cylinder, compared to a 48" stroke cylinder for a comparable model for corrugated cardboard.

For volumes of 2-10 bales per day, Multi-Material Closed Door Balers are the best choice.  These models provide extra long cylinder stroke and enough power to provide maximum truckload weights on most plastic grades.

For high volumes of 10 bales per day or more, Two Ram Automatic Tie balers provide fully automated baling for a wide range of plastic grades.

Paper

Regardless of volume, a horizontal type baler is generally needed for baling paper.  For volumes of 2-10 bales per day, Multi-Material Closed Door Balers are the best choice.  These models are able to bale a wide range of paper grades; including newsprint, white paper, and coated grades.  Apex Equipment has the expertise to recommend the right feed system to provide high quality, mareketable bales.

For high volumes of 10 bales per day or more, Single Ram Automatic Tie or Two Ram Automatic Tie balers provide fully automated baling for a wide range of plastic grades.

Scrap Metal

Small volume or large, Apex Equipment has the solution for baling a wide range of non-ferrous scrap.  For two bales per day or less, the PTR 5000HD is an extra heavy duty vertical baler specifically desinged for baling scrap metal.  It is equipped with and extra heavy duty frame, extra ram guides, more extra power.

For 2 to 10 bales per day, and extra heavy duty Multi-Material Closed Door Horizontal Baler is ideal.  These balers allow for automated loading, thereby eliminating the manual labor associated with loading a vertical baler.  Labor costs are reduced by upward of 75%.
